Green Dream

I had a dream where I was in a group and we were fighting a battle in some pine-chocked mountains with swords and daggers and baseballs. Then I saw a fellow who was pretty much our leader and he was carrying a polished walnut coffee table on his back, so I knew him to be Ethan Allen. And because he was Ethan Allen, I realized that this was Vermont and these were the Green Mountains.

If I'm remembering correctly, that's where we ran through about a quarter tank of gas looking for a place that had diesel. :-p

I remember at one point going, "Hell, are we going to have to drive to New Hampshire just to get gas?" "Ha ha no, I'm sure we won't have to go that far. We don't have that much gas left anyway." :-p We were keeping very strictly to our policy of filling up above a quarter tank, it just took us THAT LONG to find any.

We were actually stopping at the rare stations we did see asking for directions to places that carry diesel. I think it took four tries, and even FINDING four gas stations in the area we were in was quite a trick. And that was with us using an app on my Droid to "help."

One of the reasons we loved Maine. Logging trucks. Wide roads, even (especially) the dirt roads. Diesel stations EVERYWHERE.
