Amazing! Requires innate confidence in oneself and the process. Requires the ability to transcend "fear" and turn that into courage and action. Did he actually mention fear by name?

hah! no -- he totally did not mention fear -- just that when you're just starting out, you don't know enough to know what can't be done --

It's fear that stops you in your tracks -- simple fear of not being able to .. uh .. like .. feed yourself? ~ People, like me, who need the crutch of envisioning a project (and the process) from beginning to end, would have trouble with this! :-P The ability to trudge into the unknown and just trust the process - and yourself - whatever that might be, is what's needed -- and an amazing gift you give yourself (and that parents need to give their children, but more often than not - don't). It's weird, but watching you go through with this move to FL -- I see you DOING this! Go you!

Mmmmyep. If you don't see it right away (it's a small hardcover, light blue with "Neil Gaiman's 'Make Good Art' Speech" in red letters over "FAN-TASTIC MIS-TAKES" in yellow), ask for "Make Good Art". At least, if you're at Barnes & Noble.
