Urgent Health Care Center of Connecticut sent me a survey about my visit to the new Glastonbury center last September. I should have chosen to revisit all of that anger in the morning rather than the evening.

NEVER go to that clinic.

They are horrendously medically incompetent (yeah, that bruise on my arm lasted for weeks - the nurse/tech wasn't able to turn off the blood pressure machine), not to mention ethically challenged: they're the kind of medical group that makes jokes within patient earshot.

And they won't treat you if it's something they think a primary care physician should do, even if you don't have one.

Plus it's a $150 entrance fee. Forget it. Go somewhere else.

Ouch. Around here, the first visit to a doc-in-a-box (as they call it, locally) runs you about $250 - $300 as they'll insist on giving you a physical to establish baselines. After that, $150/pop is typical.

And some folks wonder why I kvetch so hard about health-care.
